It's official!

We signed our contract and Ernie put down the deposit!  Can't wait to work with Nelliena (our coordinator).  She is awesome and has already given me homework to do before our next meeting.  First she told me to register for Martha Stewart.com, which I love!!  So many cute ideas.  If you guys haven't checked it out, you definitely should!  My other homework is to get a dress this month.  Unfortunately that means no dress shopping with my December visitors, but Nelliena said to get it done now and I trust her!  If anyone wants to go this month, let me know!  I'm still leaning towards getting that one at La Belle Elaine, but I do kinda wanna go to All That Shimmers in Tacoma, to compare prices if nothing else.

Lauren has joined the list of engaged ladies in this group!  Patrick popped the question on Friday at Lauren's family cabin in Grapeview.  He did a good job of convincing her over the past few months that they should probably wait a few more years before they get married, so she didn't see it coming.  Congrats to Lauren and Patrick!

At this rate, you'll all be married by my wedding!  Well, hopefully not all. :)

Venue: CHECK!

It's official, we have decided that we are going with the Snoqualmie Ridge Golf Course for the wedding! Both the ceremony and reception will be held on Friday, September 23rd, 2011!  I can't believe it, I finally have a date!  We go in to sign the papers and put down our deposit on Saturday and I am SO excited!  Now that I have this out of the way, I am totally in planning mode.  I can't wait to search for the perfect florist, DJ, officiant, etc.  I'm super bummed that Tricia (Kirimi and Emily's cousin) can't do the photography.  It will definitely be hard to find someone I like even half as much as her.

Trish will be in town starting December 18th for a whole month, and it looks like that is the weekend that Claire will be able to get up here too!  I am going to schedule a couple of dress appointments for that following Sunday for all who are interested in tagging along.  After Claire goes back home, I will be focusing most of the rest of the month on Trish's wedding (in case you didn't know I'm her maid of honor too!).  Trish and I realized the other day that she will officially be my "Matron of honor" since she will technically be married at the time of my wedding.  I laughed b/c she is younger than me, and that hardly seems like an appropriate term to describe her, but I am SO going for it :)  Now people will stop saying "wait you have TWO maids of honor??  That's unheard of!!!"  Actually, one's a matron!  Haha

Ty and I found an apartment and we will be moving in December 1st if all goes well.  I'm very excited to finally be living with the kid, even though it will make my commute to work a little longer....it's in Buckley.  That's right, I'm gonna be that token redneck friend that you always wanted but never could find in Sammamish.  All are invited to the Logger's Rodeo next summer...ooooh bachelorette party idea!!!!  Haha.  But really though, I can't wait to start our own little household together.  Hopefully I'll be able to stop all my annoying habits by then, like throwing my clothes everywhere.  That probably won't fly.

Anyway, I just wanted to make sure you all save that date NOW!  9/23/11!  Don't forget and be early! :)

This Could Be It!

Today we toured the Snoqualmie Ridge Golf Club.

http://www.tpcsr.com/club/scripts/section/section.asp?NS=PWE

It wasn't quite as glamorous as the Newcastle Club, but her estimate was HALF the price!  AND Nelliena (the wedding coordinator) designs everything around the bride.  So basically we tell her how much we want to spend and she works around it.  There are a bunch of other cool things about it.  The ceremony can be inside or outside and you don't have to decide which until 3 hours before start time.  This is awesome since September weather can be beautiful or horrendous in this lovely green state.  The view is awesome from both outside and inside.  I'm a big fan of Nelliena.  She really seems to love working there, and she has a TON of experience.  I really think we are going to go with this venue.  We have a one week hold on our date (Friday Sept 23rd) until we can get Ty up to see it, and hopefully Kandi too.  The food and beverage minimum is 6000 dollars less to have it on a Friday, meaning we will have a lot more flexibility in where we spend our money.  A sell point for Ty...there's a possibility that we can bring in our own beer.  She said it had never been done before, but she could ask management if it's possible.  People have brought in their own wine before, but never beer.  Well, not everyone works for a budweiser distributor do they?  Haha.  I will keep you guys posted on everything as we make our decisions.  If we decide on this place that will be a huge load off and my next major feat will be the dress.

The Touring Begins

Calling the Newcastle Golf Club gorgeous would be an understatement. It was GOR-GEOUS!  The ceremony takes place in a huge white tent overlooking all of Lake Washington and Seattle, Bellevue, pretty much everything that you could see in an airplane.  They would probably be pissed if I called it a tent.  They refer to it as a "terrace".  It comfortably seats 350 people for the ceremony, and the walls (which are mostly see-through) can be rolled up to make it an outdoor setting.  And it's fully heated.  So I fell in love with the "terrace" and the ball room was just as elegant and you could do so much with it!  After showing us the bridal suite, and private room for the guys complete with pool table and bar she drafted us up an estimate for what our wedding of approximately 300 guests would cost.  42,000....  No big deal right?  I could totally cut costs in other areas.  I'm sure I have something in my closet that's white, and flowers???  Sprinkle those dandelions Charlotte!  My iHome totally bumps when it's up to volume 30! One M&M for everyone!  Delaney, get ordained cause we can't afford a real officiant.

So needless to say, my dad was a little overwhelmed with the total...but surprisingly didn't shut it down.  We really liked the girl who would be our coordinater/my bff for the next 10 months.  We are going to Snoqualmie Ridge Golf Club on Saturday and hopefully will be met with slightly lower prices.  Callie and Jessica work there so they are totally sweet talking the event coordinater for me.

I made my preliminary guest list and you're not gonna believe it, but without trying it was EXACTLY 150 guests.  And we are aiming for a 300 person wedding.  Man I'm good.  That is, of course assuming everyone brings a date and shows up.  Oooh do I get to make a "B" list??  I would feel way too cool if I had a "B" list of people I invite as I get "no" rSvPs.

On to more important things:  THE BACHELORETTE PARTY!

Now I know you all have stuff going on like school, work, a kid (Kirimi) and that you will be getting time off from all that for the wedding in September.  So I totally understand if you think you won't be able to make it to the Bachelorette Party too.  I am pretty sure I wanna do Chelan either the 2nd to last or last weekend in August.  As most of you know, hotel rooms book like crazy fast in Chelan so we probably need to get it squared away soon.  Kylie did some research and found that the cheapest place near town is the place we stayed when Ty proposed.  (How appropriate!)  She thinks it would cost about 80 per person for the hotel for the weekend (this may go up or down depending on how many can come.)  And of course that's not including food, booze, strippers (k that was a joke and just let me say right now that I will KILL anyone if there is any sort of stripper involved) etc.  Post if either weekend would work better for you, or if you don't think it's a possibility for you, or if you think I'm retarded for asking this of you so early.  Delaney...not sure if you'll be invited yet.  It probably won't be the best environment for a 16 year old, and could lead to an arrest.  I'll get back to you on that.

Thank you guys for being so awesome. Trish, sorry our schedules are so opposite.  Call me when you get a chance.  I don't work Saturday so if you get a minute call me then. I can't wait for December 18th!  Kylie, let me know if you wanna come tour Snoqualmie Ridge on Saturday at 2 (I'm not sure if you decided to go to Molly's wedding or not).  Claire, call me Saturday evening if you get a chance.  Kirimi and Emily when are you guys both gonna be up here next so I can try on dresses?  Lauren, I really wanna go to that place in Tacoma, but I think it would have to be on a weekend so will you let me know when you're not busy with Patrick?

One last thing:  There is a chance that ALL of us will be in the same state at some point in December!  Lauren, Delaney, Kylie and I are obviously already here.  Trish is coming home for a month beginning Dec 18. Kirimi and Emily I'm sure could come up for a weekend to visit the parents.  And Claire wants to fly up to help with some wedding stuff too.  If there is anyway we could coordinate and all get together even just for lunch or maybe I could host a giant sleepover...that would be awesome!  Especially since not all of you guys have even met!  And I want you all to be BEST friends!  :)

LOVE YOU ALL!
